Inspired by the flavors of Singapore and the South East Asia region, Singa-Pop is a popsicle and ice cream brand that celebrates hometown flavors! From flavors known the world around to unique local delights, Singa-pop offers something for everyone sweating in the Singaporean heat.
Modeled after the Hornbill, the Singa-Pop logo is a graphic expression of a memory I had as a child in Singapore. For a bit of backstory, on the streets of downtown Singapore, you can find street-cart ice cream vendors who work tirelessly everyday to provide for locals and tourists alike. One day as I was enjoying an ice cream sandwich on the sidewalk of the main shopping district, a hornbill swooped down and stole a bit of a friend’s ice-cream. Not usually seen in population dense parts of the country, this particular hornbill was bold and cheeky, much like the Singa-Pop brand itself.
Like the hornbill from my memory, Singa-pop’s branding is playful, fun, and sneaky!
